Blake Changnon’s Portfolio

This is a small sampling of my work at my current and past employers. Should you have any questions, please contact me via email

Careers Website: At Freddie Mac, I led the redesign of the careers website by selecting vendors, writing copy, coordinating artwork and launching the site. I maintain this website for our talent acquisition clients by updating copy, photos and art. Click here to view the current Freddie Mac careers website.

Careers Blog: In addition to maintaining the careers website at Freddie Mac, I am in charge of the editorial process for our careers blog. This process includes developing concepts with my talent acquisition client, writing and assigning blogs to writers, art directing graphics, and promoting on social media and in newsletters. Click here to view the current Freddie Mac careers blog catalogue. Talent Community Newsletter: I write, edit and distribute Freddie Mac's monthly talent community newsletters with information about benefits, mentorship and development programs, as well as career tips for job seekers. In 2024, this resulted in a 36% increase in subscribers with an average 51% open rate. Click here to view a recent Freddie Mac talent community newsletter.

Social Media: I plan and execute monthly social media plans to connect and engage with job seekers about Freddie Mac's benefits, mentorship and development programs, awards, and career tips. These monthly plans resulted in an average 18% engagement rate on social media in 2024. Click here to view past social media posts I planned, wrote, art-directed and executed.

Ad Campaign: In collaboration with Freddie Mac's paid media team, I developed and executed a paid campaign across multiple channels, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube and additional hiring partner sites to increase applications and brand awareness for my clients in talent acquisition. This campaign called "Home to More" showcased Freddie Mac's core pillars of Impact, Inclusion, Opportunity and Well-Being, which resulted in a 75% increase in applications driven by media in 2024. Click here to preview the ad campaign I wrote, art-directed and executed with our graphic designer.

Careers Website: I launched a new careers website, which included creating content, collecting assets (including videos, graphics and photos), and designing and implementing the layout. Over nine months, and in partnership with the project team of employees and vendors, I led focus groups with employees and progress reports to leadership. When the website launched, it led to active use from executives and facility leadership while providing potential job seekers an opportunity to learn about open roles. Click here to view the CoreCivic careers website.

DEI Annual Report: As a member of CoreCivic's inaugural DEI council, I led strategy and created materials to promote efforts. I developed the first DEI annual report, which included content creation and art direction. I partnered with various stakeholders to gather metrics, project details and facts. I then used the data to create a comprehensive report and tracked progress on the initiatives. I also developed the rollout campaign for all employees and our external audience. Click here to read CoreCivic’s DEI Annual Report, which I wrote and art-directed.

Ad Campaign: At CoreCivic, I lead recruitment and retention efforts by producing day-in-the-life content (videos, photos and interviews) showcasing roles for potential job seekers for TV, digital and print advertising. Click here to view a video ad I produced with a vendor to recruit nurses.

Website: At United Way of Greater Nashville, I led the website redesign by selecting vendors, coordinating copy and artwork, and launching the website. Over nine months, I worked with a project team at United Way and our advertising vendor to develop an enhanced website visitor experience. Click here to view the website.

Videos: During my time at United Way of Greater Nashville, I conducted 100 filmed interviews with clients and volunteers to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our company titled “United We Win.” I then edited content into one-to-three-minute clips to encourage volunteerism, advocacy and investment. These clips were then housed on a special section of our website. Click here to view the special section of the website and click on each headshot to watch each video.

Website: As the president and CEO of The Changnon Family Museum of Toys and Collectibles, I am responsible for designing and developing the virtual museum's website. I continue to update content, photos and graphics periodically. Click here to view the current website.
